THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient. Quran 2:153

I am writing this piece because I realized that people are hungry for hope. There is this muslim scholar called Mufti Menk who wrote on social media something about, not giving up on life but the comments caught my attention. This wasn’t the first time I saw comments about saturation and God abandoning people. So guys wrote on how they are tired with the word of God and it goes on and on. People are going through hell and they are tired. My C.R.E teacher used to say “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. “(we didn’t have I.R.E). It shall come to pass. That much I promise.

Everyone has a story. It doesn’t matter if it’s deeper than yours but that is their story and it has indepth emotion to them. Testimonies are recorded and written every single day by someone, somewhere who once upon a time thought that pain is too deep and no amount of sugarcoat words could numb them. I promise you that whatever it is you are going through, it shall come to pass and it is a testimony worth being told. Personally I love chilling with people who know how tough life can be and they survived. That’s why its life. It’s life because we aren’t meant to understand it but to hope. The fact that you are reading this, breathing and functional, God isn’t through with you yet and its a matter of time hunny. Take it to God in prayer and believe that this too shall come to pass.

And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah]. Quran 2:45

It sounds clichè to tell someone to hope, to fight, to pray but before you preach those words, have a sermon from your lips. I can confidently tell you that it will pass because you are alive. Inhaling and exhaling is a testimony also because someone somewhere is holding oxygen support to have their own kind of normal. Someome just got retrenched yet they have families to feed. A child in Syria is killed with all sheer innocence but it’s a norm to them. Sounds of bullets somewhere is like a rhythm and without gunshots, there is no music. Almost like inertia, people are used to sirens ,tears and canons.

Count your blessings and believe that it could have been worse and that this too, shall come to pass. You might be tired, saturated, numb and hopeless but nothing just happens. I won’t even tell you to keep praying but God does see and when you’re tired to pray, He knows because he knows the silence of a believer. I won’t tell you not to cry, please do… because it just shows you’re human. I won’t tell you ‘it’s okay’ because right now it isn’t okay but after dusk, comes dawn. How then would you be polished because a gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials. Do not compare your journey with others even when you are in despair. Take your lane and stick to it, everything at it’s perfect timing.

If you have that one soul that you can talk to, cry with , pray with or for you then you are blessed without measure. A rainbow is only formed when there is rain and sun and that is life. It could be stormy right now but miracles happen overnight and something magnificent is formed. Please believe that nothing is permanent, even life itself has an ending but this too shall pass. The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in the moment of comfort and pleasure but where he stands in the moment of challenge and controversy-Martin luther king.

There is absolutely no one in the good books who doesn’t have a painful, deep story be it Jesus or Mohammed. God created you and before you die, you must write your story. ALLAH KNOWS. GOD KNOWS.

ISAIAH 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.Quran 2:155

There is no one in history who hasn’t had a deep past like Jack Ma-founder Ali baba , Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther king because we still remember them. We remember them for a reason, they inspire! If you read the biography of Barrack Obama then that is inspiration enough. I read a book yesterday I cried by Iyanla Vanzant and people do have histories. Get a copy please. The story of Job and Joseph in the bible should keep you going.

This life is good but it’s bitter too. Do not let the scars change you but allow them to heal. The day you will tell your story without tears, then you are healed. Find closure then move forward. Closure is broad …like self actualization, forgiveness, letting go of the past ,owning up to your mistakes and moving forward. People got deep issues but what you are going through shall surely come to pass. My hardest test was joblessness with a degree and comparison with other people but….I survive!

Please find hope in these words.

Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, “When (will come) the Help of Allah?” Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near! Quran 2:214

Note to self.😳 It shall come to pass.
